DISCOVER THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE LATHES
The DMG CLX 450 and CMZ TA-30 machines have been designed for the same type of part, they can be described as competitors. Nevertheless, analysis of their features shows there are technical differences.
The CMZ TA-30 is a slant bed CNC lathe with prismatic guides. In contrast, the DMG CLX 450 is a CNC flat bed lathe with linear guides.
The X, Y, Z travels of the TA-30 are longer than in the CLX 450 and can therefore handle larger parts.
The TA-30 spindle is more powerful than the DMG CLX 450 spindle in terms of power and torque ratings. It also has a higher milling capacity: the motorized tool produces 12,000 rpm and 11.3 kW compared to the 10,000 rpm and 5.5 kW of the CLX 450.
Automation is possible with the CMZ TA-30 through the Gantry Loader, but not with the DMG Mori CLX 450.
