At CMZ, we like to daydream: to wake up each day with clear goals and take steady steps to achieve them. It's been 365 days of flying high; 2026 will be a year to keep building. Join us as we look back at what has driven us in 2025.
More than 550 of us are pulling in the same direction. For over a decade, we’ve been supporting a key element for the industry’s future: young talent. As our colleague Mónica López, Head of Recruitment, said in an interview for El Correo, “investing in young talent is backing the future of the industry”.
We actively collaborate with 20 educational centres: a commitment renewed every year. In 2025, more than 20 students undertook their general dual training with us: a practice that helps us sow, nurture and consolidate a solid foundation for tomorrow. As proof, our participation in various employment forums and fairs such as JEPE. An unmissable event and, on many occasions, a source of talent acquisition.
In March we finalised the purchase of an industrial unit in Haute-Savoie where a new technology centre will be set up. This French département is characterised by its strong potential and industrial tradition, especially in the bar-turning sector, where our multi-turret machines are a great fit thanks to their technical features.
We dream of growing in Haute-Savoie and in 2026 we will consolidate our presence with facilities providing direct technical support, spare parts delivery and applications support for CNC lathes.
We believe in European manufacturing, in full process control, and in doing things responsibly. The environmental impact of producing our lathes is up to five times lower than that of other manufacturers. The sustainability strategy carried out reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 50%.
In addition, we have optimised the efficiency of blow-off air consumption and pressure drop on our TTS lathe. An improvement that was recognised at the 1st "4 bar factory" Sustainability Awards organised by SMC, in the "Design and manufacture of machines at 4 bar" category.
CMZ USA is now a reality. A project we embarked on with enthusiasm and which has gradually taken shape throughout 2025. Our first subsidiary outside Europe poses a logistical, commercial and technological challenge, and has great growth potential. Thanks to our extensive distribution network and a permanent stock of 40 machines, we provide a swift and efficient response to the needs of the local market.
A dream that has already become reality over five editions. Once again, our corporate magazine CMZ Magazine 5 has been published: a space to share knowledge and inspire those who follow us. We have been in the machine-tool market for more than 80 years. After eight decades of paradigm shifts, technological evolution and new challenges, our values remain intact: to manufacture a quality European product that stands the test of time.
More than 80% of the components of our lathes are produced in-house: 40,000 m2 where we look after every last detail. An example of this is climate-control system in our machining plants, which keeps the temperature within ±0.1°C over 24 hours.
A very important milestone in our international expansion plan has been the acquisition of a plot of more than 16,000 m2 (4 acres) in Coventry, in the heart of the West Midlands, which will host the future headquarters of the UK subsidiary within 1 to 2 years. After more than 15 years of presence in the country, the new Tech Centre will feature sales offices, a showroom with CMZ lathes and an applications engineering area. In addition to this, We’re expanding our in-house after-sales team, which will be relocating to the new premises.
If anything has made all this possible, it is the people who make up CMZ. With 7 international subsidiaries, aligning visions and working side by side with a single goal in mind has proved to be the best way to deliver major projects. Sustained growth over time defines us and will be the driving force behind creating the CMZ of tomorrow.
With so many exciting projects ahead and so many factories that must take shape, we have counted on the most special architects: the children of the people who make up CMZ. The 2nd CMZ Children’s Drawing Competition: A Factory for Christmas has given us the most ground-breaking and incredible buildings we could have imagined. A talent that makes it clear that the future is brimming with excitement and creativity.
