Driven tool capability
The TTL series, the new multi-turret CNC lathe series from CMZ, offers excellent driven tool capability enabling components to be machined that do not normally seem feasible for a driven tool lathe. This video is a good example of live tool work in a CNC lathe.
Integrated motors on both turrets offer a combination of two 12-station turrets (24 live positions) and 14kW/42Nm driven tool power with spindle speeds of up to 12,000 rpm, a massive advantage for achieving quicker cycle times.
Together with a generous Y-axis travel of +/-45mm available on both turrets, this makes the TTL a very capable choice for applications that call for serious milling and drilling power. To be capable of operating at those spindle speeds, CMZ has developed new axial and radial driven tool holders. The TTL is completely configurable and very competitively priced with a comprehensive list of options available.
